Old building should be knocked down and give way to the new buildings. From my perspective, whether to conserve or pull down old building is a question that can only be answered on a case-by-case basis. When it comes to buildings with aesthetic, archaeological or architectural values, they should be properly maintained. When it comes to other old buildings without specific value, entire destruction is an acceptable decision.
